lyrics

Will you weep for your friends when they leave for the last time?
I know it feels so lonely when they're only in your mind
but when you find you're finally past the hurt and growing cold
it's not enough to hold them in your heart
let them in your soul

It's a shame that age don't come with souvenirs
unless you count the stitches and the ringing in my ears
I'm just sliding by without a sign that I was here
the only proof I have is how I feel
within my soul

maybe I believe this mysterious hope that we're not alone
but I can't accept as fact that when we die we're really gone

I won't last forever on this earth
and I may never comprehend the world for all its worth
but I don't care for things that can be bartered for in gold
I'm in search for something I can hold
within my soul
